Brian Hammons Bio

One of the original members of Golf Channel’s on air team, Indiana’s Brian Hammons, has been a familiar face and voice in golf broadcasting for over two decades. During his 21 year stint at Golf Channel he served as host and anchor for ‘Golf Central’. He co- anchored the network’s first ‘Golf Central’ when Golf Channel signed on the air on January 17, 1995. That same year, Brian played himself in the popular golf movie ‘Tin Cup’. In 2005, Brian transitioned to play by play host duties as a member of the live tournament team. During that time as the play by play host, Brian covered events on the PGA Tour, Champions Tour and LPGA Tour. Hammons anchored coverage of some of the biggest events in golf including the PGA Tour’s ‘Players Championship, ‘The Tour Championship’, the ‘President’s Cup’ and the LPGA’s ‘Solheim Cup’ just to name a few.
